Permissions

On this tab you can set exactly what is allowed or not allowed within the role. This is a very important step, you should never skip it while creating a role. When you set the permissions you will see the full main menu. Each menu item on the third level can be enabled or disabled for the selected role. If the menu item is enabled, it means that users in the selected role will always see this menu item, making the corresponding module accessible as well.

If you click on the third level menu item, then the contents of the module will appear on the right side. You can then fully configure the role for each module. You can enable or disable the module's action buttons, columns and tabs.

  • Action buttons
Which action buttons should be enabled on the role.
  • Columns
Here you set the columns, which should be visible or not in the overview screen, detail screen or when creating.
  • Tabs
Select which sub-tabs should be accessible in the details screen.

The columns can be configured extensively. Below a description of the various possibilities.

  • Show in overview
Specifies whether the field in question should be visible in overviews of the module. For example, an overview of customers.
  • Show in detail
Indicates whether the field should be visible in the details of the module. The details are similar to opening a row or record within a table. A new screen is opened for this. For example, the details of a customer (or customer card).
  • Show in new
When a new row or record is created, the corresponding field is made visible.
  • Customizable
Indicates whether the corresponding field in a row may be editable. If customizable is disabled, it is possible for the user to see the field, but it is not possible to customize the field.

When you are done with the permissions of this role click save within the permissions tab.
