Fields tab

These fields are the input fields used on this dimension, to make it as complete as possible. The definition of the fields is defined in this module. When creating the object dimension, these fields are used to record additional data for such an object. For example, a first name and last name, or a personnel number.

The field can be used immediately, even for existing dimension objects. You can simply add to them by entering values in the new field.

Adjusting a field

You can always adjust a field. Please note, however, that if the field has already been used within the rental process, the field must always contain the same values. You should only perform non critical adjustments, like correcting spelling mistakes. You cannot change a first name into a last name, unless this dimension has not yet been used by customers or in the rental process.

To adjust an existing field:

• Use the filter to search for a specific field with a keyword. 
• Double-click the respective field in the overview.

The field details form opens.

• Adjust the fields you want to change and check the other information.
• Click Save in the action bar to save the data.

If a field is deleted, the data held in this field for a customer is also deleted. Please pay close attention to this, as you might lose important information. However, if a field is no longer used, it can be deleted.

To delete a field:

• Use the filter to search for a specific field with a keyword. 
• Select the field in the overview.
• Click Delete in the action bar.
• Confirm the message.
