Consignment allows your RentMagic environment to make use of items from another RentMagic environment. There are several reasons why you would want to use this functionality.
- Setting up a fully independent Safety Shop on-site for a customer, with items from your main warehouse.
- A customer wants to have grab stock on-site, for example in combination with a RentMagic Box.
Consignment can be applied between a customer and supplier, but also for your own environment in the form of a Safety Shop.
The application takes place between two separate RentMagic administrations, for example:

Here, customer.rentmagic.net is the active and receiving party. Environment supplier.rentmagic.net is the passive and sending party. The active party is the party who always requests changes on the passive side via the technical link (REST API).
