What is an attestation (certificate) and what can you do with it?

Use an attestation or certificate for additional verification that a contact may rent a product.

Synonyms: certificate, evidence

An attestation can be linked to an item and a contact. If an item is linked to an attestation, a contact who wants to rent the item must have the same type of attestation.

Attestations can thus also be used to record certain skills. It is also possible to link files to attestations.

In RentMagic, you can actually consider a certificate as a kind of permission document. An example is that you need a forklift certificate to be allowed to drive a forklift. In RentMagic, you could link a forklift certificate to a contact person, as well as to a forklift to be rented out. If a contact person has a forklift certificate, then it is possible to rent a forklift. If the contact person doesn't have a certificate, then it's not possible to rent a forklift.

On a certificate you can also attach files, for example a manual or some kind of checklist that is needed to obtain a certificate. These are general documents that you can open and add in this module.
