Replacing items tab

Serial numbers replaced on active orders due to defect or service.

During the replacement, the item may have been replaced as well as the serial number. If an item or serial number has been replaced on an active order, you can see this under Replaced items.  If an item has been replaced, situations can occur like for instance when a replaced article has been sent, but the original has not been returned yet. RentMagic has actions that can help you maintain these items.

Delivering

If you want to deliver an item on the order.

To deliver a replacement item:

  • Use the filter to find a specific article that has been replaced by using a keyword.
  • Select the relevant article from the overview.
  • In the action bar, click on Deliver to confirm the delivery.

The replacement is updated immediately.

Splitting replacements

If a replacement item is sent to the customer, but the original item is still retained, it means that the customer has both items.

To split a replacement item:

  • Use the filter to find a specific article that has been replaced by using a keyword.
  • Select the relevant article from the overview.
  • In the action bar, click Split to confirm the split.

The split is applied immediately and an additional order line is created on the order with the second item.

Execute

If a replacement item is sent to the customer and the export is confirmed, then the replacement can be definitively carried out.

To carry out a substitution permanently:

  • Use the filter to find a specific article that has been replaced by using a keyword.
  • Select the relevant article from the overview.
  • In the action bar, click Run to confirm execution.

Cancel a replacement

If a replacement is no longer required, it can be cancelled.

To cancel a replacement item:

  • Use the filter to find a specific article that has been replaced by using a keyword.
  • Select the relevant item from the overview.
  • Click Cancel in the action bar to permanently cancel the execution.
